if you develop on a local network, it can be really handy to add rendezvous names for virtual hosts or even directories.
For example if you add:

RegisterResource "icalshare" /Users/patrick/Documents/Projects/iCalShare/wwwroot

at the end of your httpd.conf file (providing you are running 10.2.5+) the site will show up in Safari or Camino's Rendezvous menu as "icalshare"

This isn't working for me. I get the link in my Safari rendezvous menu, but I then get a not found error that says:

The requested URL /path/to/virtualdomain's/DocumentRoot was not found on this server.

I made sure that the path in RegisterResource matches the virtualhost's DocumentRoot. It basically ads that path to the rendezvous url so I get:

    http://my-computer.local./path/to/DocumentRoot

I tried adding a "/" at the end but that did nothing.

What it looks like it's doing is looking for /Library/WebServer/Documents/path/to/document/root which does not work since the path to document root is located at /path/to/document/root, not inside your /Library/WebServer/Documents directory. But if you actually got this to work I would love some additional info.
