Why would you use opensource junk when you can use formula 1? I'd rather have commercial software than this freeware junk any day. http://www.reportingengines.com/products/espreadengine/overview.jsp

I am a customer of http://www.superlinksoftware.com/. Although as stated, their website sucks, their support is excellent. Once I had a rather serious and complex problem and the author of this article had an answer and a patch within a couple hours.

$5000 for this product?
get out!

hey, POI is pretty good, but I think if you want a really good Java Excel tool with commercial support, F1 is way too limited and expensive.
THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS!
We use and recommend the Java Excel API ExtenXLS, which you can download here from Extentech's web site at:
DOWNLOAD NOW!
This tool is so slick and works so well, we've never even needed support!
