Does it run client-side Javascript? With DHTML it is becoming difficult to build a web client these days. I wonder if HttpUnit is taking on this tough job. Maybe it is easiler to get Mozilla to expose an API to hook in a test interface.


Secondly it needs a recording feature to construct a test case quickly.

    As a matter of fact, yes, in recent builds it does support javascript. The browser object model support is still somewhat incomplete, but the javascript language interpreter is quite robust.

    Recording a script would be nice, but perhaps better handled as a package built on top of httpunit. You might check out canoo webtest if you want something higher level.
