There are plug in sockets you can use for screw-in light bulbs - you can get them at any hardware or home improvement store. This would allow you to use the WAP without having to bend back and solder the plugs like that, plus with a shield over the bulb you could use a higher wattage light.

I think they made those illegal for some reason, and you cant buy them anymore. I dont think that would be able to hold the weight of the WAP and Light either.
