| OK... The file permissions for my index.php file did not have read access for it. I fixed this and all worked fine. Not sure why the permissions were messed up though. | ||

You likely need to be logged in as root to be able to write to the httpd.conf file.

and be careful with the commands you throw out as root/su

I've a problem with "include ()" and "Failed opening..", too. Or my permissions are write/read.
When I use RELATIVE or FULL addressing in the "include ()", everything is fine. When I use ROOT addressing - I get no includes.
What I'm missing ?

I checked the preferences in my text editor which seemed to allow writing and over-writing.
Consequently, when i went to complete the php test it didn't show the php with the main 'Gleefully...' message.
I am running OS10.2.8 on a dual boot G4, using Safari as the browser. I'm NOT technical so please use language I can understand!
