- Using Oracle 9i database, Tomcat 4.0 with jdbc:oracle:thin:@<url> connect string Getting error in subject line when trying to get Datasource. In error console I see: java.lang.NullPointerException at org.apache.commons.dbcp.DelegatingConnection.setAutoCommit(DelegatingConnection.java:237) at org.apache.commons.dbcp.PoolableConnectionFactory.activateObject(PoolableConnectionFactory.java:273) .... I have this error as well with the same software. Did you resolve this?
