| I am behind a router. I type in my custom DNS domain name from local network and browser says "could not open page..." From WAN I can access my domain without a problem. What am I doing wrong? I have a D-Link DI-604 Router. Can I congigure NetInfo Manager in such a way that my loopback address is my router's IP address?? | ||

I have the exact same problem since I set up host name headers on my IIS server.
Has anyone found out what the issue is? I have Linsys router. It definitly has something to do with the Host Name Headers because prior to using them I could access the web site from inside my network. -

You need to disable the NAT redirect filter.
Filter Internet NAT Redirection should be disabled. on your router... This filters local PC from trying to connecto to other localPC from and external IPAddress.

DNS is your address for the web
localhost will work without internet services.
if you cant access your site from the web ie typing in your DNS.
1 your routers ports maybe closed
2 your nat for your router could be configured wrong
3 your server might not be started
from the sound of what you are saying you routers DMZ host might not be correct. On your mac you will use the DMZ host ip address as your network ip address in the preferences pane -

If your running windows, you need to make changes to your host file located in winnt\system32\drivers\etc. You'll be able to map your url to 127.0.0.1 or whatever intranet site you have on your LAN.

It works without the router.......... maybe I'll smash it to bits.
