I purchased a D-Link DWL-650+AirPlus PCMCIA card. When I put it into the laptop computer, the computer hung upon starting up. When I removed it, the computer worked. D-Link technical support said the problem was an IRQ conflict, and they don't help with conflicts.

To correct the problem you must do the following:
1) Click "Start"
2) Select "Control Panel"
3) Click "Administrative Tools" (classic mode view)
4) Choose "Services"
5) Look to bottom of list, locate "Wireless Zero Configuration"
6) Right click and select "Properties"
7) "Stop" service, change startup type to "Disabled"
Your card will now work properly.
I obviously spoke to someone else because they were quick to identify and fix the problem... you should try the D-Link support in Copenhagen, Denmark ;)
