I'd not come across this approach before, but I like the simplicity of it all. It strikes me as being very XP in the sense that it enriches the documentation that lives with the classes. Reading the article made me wonder if there could eventually be a "standard" set of markers - not that we should rush to that conclusion without trying out candidate sets.
