| I agree. Microsoft certainly can benefit from our criticism. (And despite a lot of skepticism out there in the marketplace, I think that they are taking the criticism to heart, albeit gradually and unevenly.) But the criticism should be specific and substantial, not knee-jerk and over-broad. There are an awful lot of people who blame Microsoft whenever they do anything wrong, and attack them whenever they do anything right, arguing that it's a smokescreen. If we want them to improve, we need to praise them when they make good moves, and restrict the criticism to actual wrongdoing. | ||
