Someone made the point already - but weblogic refusing the manifest extension to web components is just plain wrong - the previous commenter made the excellent point that now that the class-loader hierarchy has been sorted out, the utility classes in the EAR should be visible to War's. Come on - sort it out.

I completely agree. I have wasted so much time in figuring out why it is not working, until i came across this article. Bea Weblogic Server Bible (by Joe Zuffoloetto), claims that its should work with war files too. But it doesn't.
