If you deploy with a war file in webapps directory, the context won't be read. The following works:


- uncompress war into webapps/AddressBook (or whatever the web app name is)


- Place the xml file in webapps. It can be named context.xml or AddressBook.xml



I was unable to get the JNDI defs to be processed with an xml and war file in webapps.

    Naturally you can install the WebApp manually, however, the point of the article was to use Ant to do this for you, so installing the manual way is not solving the problem.

    Thanks for your comments anyway, but we have still not got down o the bottom of this, Paul
