Subject:   SQL4X Manager J and MySQL jdbc driver

I followed instructions from the JDBC 3.04 package included in the install, and I placed jdbc2_0-stdext.jar and jta-spec1_0_1.jar in the relevant library directory. When I go to the New Connection Assistant, I select MySQL as Database Server and "I don't know" for driver installer (this tells the program to check if the driver is installed or not). Clicking on "Detect" gives me this message "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver".

What do I need to do get this working properly? I've got the drivers for Microsoft SQL server and pointbase installed successfully.

Sorry, but I have very little experience with SQL4X.

If you want a JDBC driver to be available to all Java applications, [one of ] the standard place[s] to put it is in

    /Library/java/Extensions

as I did when installing ViennaSQL.

Also, from the error message, it appears SQL4X is looking for the MySQL JDBC Driver that Macromedia ships with CFMX -- is this what you want?
