FreeBSD's equivalent to rpm and deb is packages, not ports. Also, linux has nothing to do with RPM, that is a RedHat standard that some other distros use. However, there are many package managers for Linux. I use pacman. The licensing for MySQL has nothing to do with personal or business use. It is GPL and only requires that other software be OSI compliant also. I hope this is not reflective of the 3rd edition of UNIX Power Tools. |
