I tried to install from the source code and couldn't get farther than the "make" command where all I got was "make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop." Maybe MySQL is actually running. Who knows? All I can get is "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)" I'd like to uninstall it and start from scratch. Does anybody know how to do this?
