Is there a way to view the iCal page I just published without using iCal? I thought there would have been a way to view these in a browser. Also, if this is possible, is it also possible to update the contents without iCal? Basically, I am looking for a way to update an iCal calendar via a web site remotely from my machine.

Try php ical program. It's 'pretty'. Check out http://phpicalendar.sourceforge.net
