Although there is some information buried between the silly graphics and somewhat condescending sidebars, overall you have to dig for the content in this book. This format may appeal to some, with a huge amount of graphics, sidebars and white space. This is a book about design patterns which might appeal or be useful in a high school programming class, but as a professional I found it condescending, and 'lite' on information, high on 'cutsie'.
