Bruce Tate is a well known figure in the Java community. With this book, he enters into the realm of Ruby and provides an excellent roadmap to slowly incorporating Ruby into your company. He gives several migration strategies, sound facts supporting his statements of why Java has reached its plateau for success and why Ruby (sparked by the overwhelming success of Ruby on Rails) is at the turning point of wide spread (and eventual enterprise) adoption. This is definitely a good read, providing material geared for not only technical people but also content "your manager" will understand. |
