I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed one of your books! I recently purchased Photoshop Elements 4 and went in search of a manual at my local Barnes and Noble. I found that the tiny manual that came with the software wasn't really telling me the important things I needed to know. There were lots of Photoshop books at the bookstore. I chose one of yours. I think you should find that interesting. Why yours? I selected Barbara Brundage's "The missing manual." It was exactly what I was looking for.1) I'm a little beyond the Photoshop for Dummies level (I had been using Paint shop Pro extensively; I do Virtual Tours and photos for realtors) 2) I enjoy learning from a written paper manual, so I can mark in it and dog-ear it and constantly use it for reference 3) Photoshop is very visual and I need to see the photos of what things will look like in a manual before I try it 4) The combination of expertise by the author and the colorful illustrations showed exactly what I needed (for example, how to set up in the beginning; using the Healing Brush and Photoshop's backup system). Anyway, tell the author she did a marvelous job. The book also made me check out your website. Thanks again for the unique niche you are filling. Lewis Faulkner |
