This is one of the Best cookbook series concern Flash Development written by Joey Lott.
It's quickly learn and well done code format for anyone who want to quick create quiz, captions, mobile applications, text elaboration and effect with bitmap class.
entrly with no reviews before Joey has the chance to teach easly the integration of nerdy code for anyone undrestand the powerfull of new Flash Player capabilties.
I recomend for everyone that develops Flash hot sites, flash Mobile, Flash Applications focus on RIA.

Well, I'm not as much convinced of this Cookbook as of Lott's first one. This is because it almost doesn't deal with AS, but is instead mainly addressing Flash-IDE workers, who use the classical timeline tweening and similar stuff.
The amount of AS-examples is much smaller and there is not a single project developed as there was in the previous cookbook with the MP3-Player, the picture gallery etc.
Some important info is also missing. Some extra changes in Flash8 should be mentioned, like the amount of maskable layers, which was increased from 12 to 24, or that Flash8 allowes 32 Sound instances instead of only 8.
The sound chapter anyway is - compared to the creative approach in book one - very, very weak and doesn't bring any interesting ideas.
So be very aware of the different titles: the first one was an ACTIONSCRIPT cookbook, this one is a FLASH 8 cookbook!
But actually there is a AS3 Cookbook anounced - again by Joey Lott! I'm very much looking forward to that one!
