As a subscriber to the NYT I just discovered the multimedia musings of David Pogue. Although I did not know that Paul Reiser had a geek twin brother with an equal sense of humor, I bought this book on his endorsement. The official Adobe manual is beautifly presented but filled with basics. Another book I found had plenty of tips but was in black and white. This clearly has it all. What to my surprise when I found that B&N is selling it for 30% off plus you still get your B&N Member discount if you belong. This reduced the price by 37% bringing the cost to $27.USD (Unbelievable Savings Deal). The book even contains flashbacks to the 60's with subjects such as "Controlling the Colors You See," "Transforming Images," and "Warping Type." I will certainly report back if this doesn't live up to its apparent quality. |
