Indeed this book contains lots of errors, fortunately I got most questions answered by author himself - I am the translater of this book in traditional Chinese version :-D. For those who are not so lucky, the 2nd print may be a better choice for English readers. As t-Chinese and Japanese readers, you are so lucky since our translations had corrected lots of errors. Japanese version's translater Mr. Shimizu (hope I spelled correctly) did an excellent job and he found most errors in examples codes which I never took time to read them carefully.

Anyway this still helped me a lot. During translation I was preparing my CCNP certification, and author's description is more interesting than Cisco manual's boring sentences. I used this book as a preview for routing course, after reading it I felt it's much more easier for me to understand Cisco's book - these 2 books works together perfectly. Though new version of CCNP routing test had added some new topics such as ISIS and NAT...etc., you still can find useful information in Ravi's little book. I will suggest people to use this book as a beginning reading, when you doubt the integrity of some descriptions, then it's the time you should get a Cisco's book to compare with.
