I strongly disagree with the other reviews. i read this book cover to cover and found it really unhelpful.
This book is good if you want to understand servlets basics BUT it does not provide an example of a servlet it develops. I wouldl ike to see an edition where Mr Hunter has an ongoing shopping cart servlet so people can learn hands on.
After reading this book i have had to read Struts (Oreilly) for an example of a servlet.
My advice is : stay away from this book unless you want to know the technical aspcts of HTTP requests and servlets. Use the sun web services tutorial or find another source.
