To date there doesn't seem to be any PHP-programming-book on the market that hits the spot - "Programming PHP" now does. It is the first edition, so the following editions surely will improve from reader's contributions, but you instantly can see that this book on PHP programming has been written by Rasmus Lerdorf, the inventor of PHP. He knows where to go!
