This book was excellent. Coming from a programmer's perspective (and having a fairly limited experience with bare-bones networking topology), I was thoroughly impressed with the brilliant way this information was presented. I read this entire book in 4 days, and was hooked on the way in which its technical precision was presented in such an understandable manner.
I havent taken this much raw, fresh, and applicable knowledge from a book in quite some time, and for every situation where I found myself wondering about another item: its explanation wasn't far behind. Very excellent presentation, and advanced readers will find it easy to circumvent unneeded chapters without sacrificing continuity. I would most certainly recommend this book to anyone needing to work with and/or implement a firewall, and especially for anyone interested in network security as a whole. Extremely heads up, and a must for System Administrators!!
