As soon as I saw this set I thought I just had to have it.

When I got it home, it looked it over, it dawned on me that I did not really need it. First off, I DO like the main Java in a Nutshell, 3rd Ed. and can see having this in a hard cover, as I believe we will have JDK 1.3 for a good year or so. But Java Enterprise in a Nutshell is looking kinda stale at this point, as it covers on Servlets 2.1, and the older JSP 1.0, a well as slightly stale other J2EE technologies. J2EE 1.3 is about to be upon us, I requie the most updated info on it! So I can't see owning this version now. I liked Foundation class in a Nutshell, but begin to wonder what has already changed in it since the book came out. The last Examples in a Nutshell I just don't need at all.

So I took them back and got my $100.00 back.

I would like to see this set in a modifed form:

1. The latest Java in a Nutshell (as it currently stands).

2. an *updated* Enterprise in a Nutshell in hardcover (whenever it comes out)

3. Java Foundation classes in a Nutshell (with any updates)

4. All of the above in a Hardcover set (just the three and omit Examples)

5. Price it around $80.00

Then I will buy it. If you do this, then give me a call (email me actually) and I will buy it!
