I reviewed a few books at the bookstore about InDesign and then picked this one, browsed through it and decided to buy it immediately.

The first day I finished about a 100 pages without even knowing I've gone this far. This includes practice and using the software (I have a fair knowledge of InDesign.)

I'm very, very impressed with the content, style of writing, organization, sense of humor, clarity and passion Deke has injected into this one of a kind great publication.

Keep up the good work Deke!!!

cheers.

Khalid

Media reviews "As a fairly proficient user of Pagemaker 6.5, I expected to be able to start using InDesign pretty easily. It didn't happen. So if a how-to book can take me from barely even being able to get a new document open in a software program, to completing an entire client project in that program over a weekend, I’d say it’s a pretty darn good instruction manual. So that’s what I’d say about Adobe InDesign CS: One-on-One because that’s what it did for me."

"This is a comprehensive and detailed tome...Deke's breezy, witty writing style makes it a pleasure to read...The book is aimed at three audiences: independent graphic designers, students, and instructors. Exercises are written clearly enough for beginners to follow, but trust me, even a pro will learn something new."
