I'm running Mac OS X and trying to do the solution for part II - I have cd into /usr/local/ and have tried to mkdir lib but keep getting a permission denied response from Terminal. I know I can changer permissions via chmod but 1. don't think I will be able to do this to this dir 2. don't know if that is a good idea given the dir ... Also, the link to the php.ini file is broken.

I'm just doing this for person dev on my Mac before pushing the files to a remote server ... any help is much appreciated and please let me know if any more information is required. Thanks!
