@Hadjidakis: There are some recorders that let you edit on the device itself (I have one). But it's far, far easier to edit audio in a computer, where you can see a representation of the waveform. See my primer at http://digitalmedia.oreilly.com/2006/10/26/quickstart-digital-audio-editing.html.


With any of the recorders we've reviewed, you transfer the audio to the computer by connecting the recorder to a USB jack and dragging the file over. (The recorder appears to the computer as an external hard drive.)
