I was actually a big postfix fan for a while and have used it successfully under OS X for a while. But I've gone back to sendmail because it does what it does really well and has improved quite a bit over the years. All mail servers have their issues. As far as my motivation for going with Sendmail for this article: well, its all about using what is built in to Mac OS X where possible.
