Hi there, I am having a war file located not in the tomcat root directory ie. say the war file is located at some directory like this (E:\personal\sample.war) i want to deploy it without taking it to the root directory.Can any one suggest how.. Regards, Jerome

  Hi..
  i hope you already found the solution for the issue you mentioned. if not just follow these steps.. create a xml and place it in %tomcat_home%/conf/catalina/localhost folder and update the docBase attribute value to point to the location where your actual build is present.
