Not sure if it is b/c they updated the software for the video rental program but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

  I also have an 80Gb classic ipod. So I bought a cable and guess what - it doesn't work! It just comes up with 'Please connect Video Out Accessory'. I think they did something to the software. Don't know the answer. Anyone else find out? Tim

  You don't really have the setting on tv on. It is difficult to see whether the off or the on is highlighted. It automatically comes up with "off" highlighted, so scroll to "on"

  i have the same problem, i couldn't get it to work then i found this site and i thought i was in luck....but is just says please connect video accessory...does anyone know how to fix this?
