I had the same problem getting the update to 'take'.
I hooked the H4 to PC via USB and pasted SYSTEM.BIN file to what my PC saw as a hard drive (just like in the picture on website instructions. The first time I tried to restart with Menu button held down it didn`t work.Unplugging the USB (which the "thorough" instructions fail to mention)and trying again seemed to work.It`s only my first day and I am having trouble getting Cubase to see H4 in VST inputs (#7 in instruction Cubase startup guide)even after doing everything in step #6.
