I did it this way as it is the most secure way to run Sendmail. However, there many issues to consider when running Sendmail on your machine. These will be covered in an upcoming article. In that article, I'll talk about the DontBlameSendmail properrty and how best to set it-along with a lot of other configuration knobs that you can tweak in Sendmail.
