Are you using Apache 1.3 which is the default Web server of Mac? If yes, just go to Systems Preferences click sharing then check Personal Web Sharing And if you have another Apache version installed, uncheck the Personal Web Sharing. Then, open your terminal. I am sure that you have a directory local that resides on /usr/ ... it goes this way /usr/local/apache2/bin/./apachectl -k start this should solve your problem...
