I have been using MS software since DOS 3, and have grown with the company. However, their latest OS turns my stomach. When I think of the power and functionality I had with XP, going to VISTA was not a step forward. It does have a few nice features, and does look great! However, when I can't even begin to operate it on a perfectly good NEW mid-range laptop(XP runs wonderfully on it), and when it does run, simply tells me that my software is NOT COMPATIBLE! I've been using this software for years, and it needs to run today. When I first used the XP BETA I ran into very few of these issues and it performed well on midrange hardware. It is clear that the "problems" with this new OS are not Bugs or issues to "work out", it is a DRM issue. And if I am going to be told by my OS what I can and can't run then this OS has no place on my systems or networks. VISTA is simply a way to control content and programs. Taking control away from the user and private developers.
