Carla mentions the role of Computer Bits in her technical education. I was privileged to be that publication's editor back in the roarin' 90s. It's no surprise why we let her write: she was (and remains) engaging, funny, informative, and timely. Oh, and she met deadlines and accepted our paltry payments. Keep up the good work, Carla! PS: I never received the comp copy of Linux Cookbook you promised me. :-)

  I hang my head in shame- you may have your comp copy now. Your choices are French, German, or Russian. I don't seem to have any English copies left.
  
  Seriously, I will make sure you get a fresh copy of the second edition. The first one is getting outdated, the poor thing, because Linux just won't hold still. Why, when it was published there was no Ubuntu, if you can imagine such a thing.
