I too get dropouts on the Belkin - something that never occured with my old Griffin mic for the G3. They tend to be a fraction of a second, every three or four minutes, I haven't tried rebooting yet. I'm using my iPod for recording interviews, so this is an annoyance rather than a disaster, but I would avoid the Belkin if your recordings are crucial.
