Papers is a nice looking app, but I would further restrict its application to *biomedical* research. It only provides access to PubMed, which really limits its usefulness to other academics.


I would also add Bibdesk to the list for those who are LaTeX users; it is a bonafide pdf organizer that allows for tagging, notes, ratings, and links to the pdf file itself. Even if you dont use LaTeX, it is a great way to organize a folder full of papers.
