I have used add/remove to uninstall QT. Gee guess what it didn't work. Most of it is gone but parts are still there screwing up my system. I tried the advice to go to program files/quicktime/plugins and renamed the qttask.exe file I did the same to the dozen or so other files that were still there. When I go to web sites even here on O'Reilly's I get error message after error message popping up where ever qt used to be used. AS follows (QuickTime plug-n requires QuickTime system extention version 5 or later.)It did this even when qt was so called fully installed. there was nothing but broken qt icons every where on most web sites I can not even veiw youtube videos. I tried reinstalling and uninstalling qt then tried the renaming trick for the remaining files. Where the devil is this error message coming from? |
