Thank you very much for these articles; they've been very helpful! I need your help though: In your second article, "7 extras.." You list Mic Preamps as the first extra for any studio, but there is very little information provided on the matter. My first question is: If my Audio Interface already has a mic pre, then isn't running my signal through the external Class A pre AND the pre in interface a bad thing? FIRST because running through two preamps probably has an adverse effect on the signal and SECONDLY because your using a great mic pre and then ruining the sound by running the signal through the substandard pre in the audio interface...yes or no? Which leads me to my second question..are there any killer Audio interfaces with class A preamps? Someone suggested the Apogee Mini Me...are there any others that you can recommend? How about one with FOUR Class A preamps in order to record drums? Thank you!!
