Huh, that's a good tip -- I just set my background to something that I wanted the shadow on and didn't worry about it.


Fortunately though, the best screenshot app ever (Skitch) takes care of this for you with it's screenshot window mode. It will cleverly grab the window that you want when you click on it then add about 15px of border around it, filled in with a background of your choosing.

    FactoryJoe: Oh yeah! I saw Skitch at Macworld and thought it was really slick — especially the annotation feature. I'm looking forward to checking it out.
