just wanted to let anyone out there considering aperture or the trial version that i downloaded the trial version only to find half of my picture folders and thousands of images zapped by the software. i was on the phone with apple for three+ hours trying to resolve and the only resolution offered was for me to purchase the full version so they could support, to get online and find another user with similar issues, or to try and talk with the aperture group (who turned me down initially saying that i was not eligible for support as i had not purchased a full version). imagine losing half of your images with a mere installation of this trial version. i am somewhat backed up, but regardless, the problem and (lack of) resolution has left me fed up with apple and completely trustless of aperture. |
