Hi, I'm really looking into Live right now, because I'm about to set up my home studio, and I'm in midst of deciding which software I will go with.
I was thinking of Pro tools or Logic, and then I found out about live. I am not sure though, whether Live is the best tool for songwriting. Recording is important, but I'm looking into a software that's more about songwriting/beat making. People told me Pro tools is great for audio, but not for midi.
How exactly Live works for midi, virtual instruments and all sort of song writing features? I mostly do pop music, hiphop/r&b and those commercial sound. is Live good choice for such a music making, or should I go with pro tools, logic, or digital performer?
any insights or advices are welcomed.
thanks!
