A) Is not WeakReferences an easier way to manage garbage collection of cached stubs?
B) In our application, most of the distributed objects are not registered with the registry but are created by calls to the "home" interfaces (which *are* registered with the rmi registry). In this case, the retry mechanism mentioned in the article does not work.
