Over at CreateDigitalMusic.com, Peter Kirn previews an upcoming editor from Adobe called Soundbooth (http://tinyurl.com/yxmg6j). It looks to have a simple interface. Readers mention a few other editors in the comments, such as DSP Quattro and Audiofile Engineering Wave Editor. I've been playing with Audiofile's free loop editor and find it handy.
