I copied your solution and now have a Series 2 TiVO controlling a Hughes HTL-HD tuner box via serial cable. All is great and working well. However, I have a similar problem to what you encountered: my local digital PBS (St. Louis, MO) has four sub-channels (9.1 - 9.4). Unfortunately, 9.1 is the default that the HTL-HD goes to when TiVO sends it the channel 9 command, but 9.1 is not a simulcast of analog channel 9. Therefore, TiVo thinks it's going to record Sesame Street (I have a 1-yr. old) but ends up recording something else. BOTTOM LINE: Does anyone know of any work-around solutions to get TiVO to recognize and utilize multiple digital sub-channels on the same base digital number, i.e. 9.1 - 9.4 instead of just defaulting to 9.1? Thanks for all the help and sharing your solutions to these challenging problems. |
