The point of the widget is so you can rapidly get at the links associated with your tags, via the cloud interface. When you click on a tag in the widget, a side-slider opens up revealing all the associated links. Clicking on any of those links opens your browser to that web-site. For instance , I've got a bunch of links related to "OS X", when I click on the "OS X" tag a slider opens up, showing all those links. Clicking on any of those links will open my browser right to that web-site... pretty cool. Also, I find the cloud interface quicker than a giant list of tags.
