  I have the same problem. Have you gotten any help or ideas? This is my second shuffle. I had the same problem with the first one. When I took this second one in, they told me I'm out of luck because I did not purchase the extended warranty. The 1 year warranty starts only with the first purchase and they do not extend it if you get a replacement. I'm out the $150.00 I paid for this thing. A complete throw-a-way product.
