What the Critics Don't Get About Apple's Aperture
Subject:   Still Flawed

Despite this critique of the critics, Apperture remains a flawed product. I would direct readers to Ars Technica's coverage of Aperture. The review and it's follow up very clearly outline the serious issues that exist in the product, some of which have been mentioned by others in the comments here. The review and it's follow up can be found here:

I would encourage Mr. Bourne to consider these articles, if he hasn't already. His article may address legitimate issues in some reviews of Aperture, but Mr. Bourne should be equally as forthright that Aperture is deeply flawed, even if you concede Mr. Bourne's points. Otherwise his article sounds more like an excuse. "It doesn't suck, you just don't understand it" versus "Yes, it has problems, but you missed the point in your criticism."

If I'm to consider MacDevCenter to be a reliable source for Apple and Mac knowledge and information, I want to know that the writers are here to shoot straight, not serve as Apple cheerleaders or apologists.
